Availability
We are in a great position of being a very popular place to board dogs and have very limited space in our home where we can comfortably accommodate the dogs. Please send a message to check and if we cannot help ourselves will try our trusted network of other local walkers and home boarders if you would like.

Brachycephalic Breeds
Due to our personal preference and the health considerations, we are unlikely to accept flat-faced dogs such as Pugs, Bulldogs, Boston Terriers, Shih Tzus and similar.

Test Stays
All dogs must complete a test stay before boarding (for more the 3 nights).
We will not be able to accommodate dogs that aren't house trained or unable to sleep through the night - as I need at least 7 hours :-)

About Us...
I'm Kevin
After a 20 year career in IT as a Software Tester - I eventually realised that it wasn't the right path for me and a change was necessary.
I decided to quit the office environment and pursue my passion to work with animals, enjoying the outdoors and being physically active.

What started as a part-time dog sitting hobby in 2016 transformed into a full-time venture in 2021 - and I have no regrets. I love being outside everyday, whatever the weather!
It's understandable you may want to know more about who is looking after your pet. So here's a brief introduction from us...
And, I'm Lauren
After Sit Play Stay was established, I also made a significant career shift from being a Pharmacist to part-time dog walker.

I typically take smaller dogs for walks that aren't as suited for more active group outings. I've come to know each of their personalities and quirks and enjoy visiting their owners.
In my spare time, I volunteer at various places around Whitley Bay including schools, local charities, mother and baby groups, and community cafes.
The Accommodation
The dogs are looked after in a comfortable family environment with access to freshwater and a comfortable bed or sofa at all times. There's space to relax and have peace and quiet after a good walk, or follow us around the kitchen just in case any crumbs are dropped!
Each dog and their own personality is taken into consideration.
